How to delete a referral

If a referral has been added to the wrong client file or entered incorrectly, you can  delete it from Recordbase.

Note: You must have referral deletion permissions to delete a referral. If you need this permission or require a referral to be deleted, please contact your organisation’s Administrator/Superuser. Deleting a referral does not delete the client.

To delete a referral

  1. Select the client you want to delete the referral for
  2. Click Referrals
  3. Find the referral you want to delete
  4. Click View
  5. Click Delete

What Happens Next

Recordbase will check if any information is linked to the referral, including:

  • Activities
  • Notes
  • Employment plans
  • Goals
  • PRIMHD reviews
  • Purchase orders
  • Outcome tools

You cannot delete the referral until this information is removed.

To make this easier:

  • Click View this list in a new window to open the list in a separate tab or window.
  • Remove or move the linked information as needed.
  • Repeat the deletion process. Once all linked items are cleared, the confirmation message will appear.

If No Linked Information Exists

A confirmation message will appear.
Click Delete this referral to remove it from the client’s record.
