Sometimes, you may need to create a relationship with a person who is not a client in Recordbase and does not have an active referral.
For example, if a client seeks help regarding a family member who is not part of Recordbase, you’ll still want to record this relationship even though that family member is not a client.
In such cases, a record will be created for the related person. This record will not have a referral or a team associated with it. Note that these non-client records require specific permissions to view or edit.
How to create a Relationship for a Non-Client:
-
Go to the client file:
- Click on Relationships
-
Create a New Relationship:
- Click the New button.
-
Search for the Person:
- Enter the person’s first name, last name, and date of birth to see if they are already in the Recordbase.
-
Add a New Person (if no matches are found):
- If no matches appear, click Add as New Client.
-
Complete the Person's Details:
- Fill in any additional information and specify the nature of the relationship.
-
Create the Record:
- Click Create. This will generate a new client record for the person, but it will not include a referral.
The relationship is now recorded, and the non-client will have a basic record in the system without any referral or team association.
