How to Add a Direct Relationship
A direct relationship could be a family member, caregiver, or, in the case of domestic and family violence, a connection between the person using violence and the person experiencing violence.
- Open the person record and select Direct Relationships from the left-hand menu
- In the Direct Relationships widget, click New
- Search for the person you want to link to:
- Enter a Reference Number, or
- Enter their First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth
- If the person appears in the search results, select This client matches
- If no match is found, select Add as a new client
- You can create a basic person file without a referral directly from the Direct Relationship section.
- On the Create New Relationship screen:
- Select the Relationship Type
- Enter the Start Date (required)
- Click Create to add the relationship
