What is a Controlled Medication in Recordbase?
Several medications are marked as Controlled in Recordbase, and whilst a prescription for a Controlled substance can be recorded, it cannot be printed. In New Zealand, controlled drugs can only be printed on a special pad and require a special sequential number on each prescription that is issued by the New Zealand Government.
For the purposes of prescribing in Recordbase, the following rules define a controlled medication:
Any Class A, B1, B2, and B3 Medications and any other drugs as determined at the discretion of the Recordbase clinical advisory team.
