Employment plan closure rules
An employment plan can be closed at any time. The reasons why will depend on your business processes. Examples of why you may want to close an employment plan include:
- The type of job sought by the client is no longer relevant.
- Lack of engagement from the client.
- Service delivery has been completed.
The following rules apply to closing an employment plan:
- Employment plans can be closed before all mandatory tasks have been completed. Closing an employment plan will automatically cancel all tasks.
- Employment plans can be closed if future activities are scheduled against the plan. However, Recordbase will warn you that there are future dated activities in the Issues to resolve section at the bottom of the screen. You will need to manually close these activities if you do not want them to be included in reports.
- Clients cannot be discharged from a team while they have an open employment plan. The employment plan must be closed first, prior to discharge.
- An employment plan can be closed at any time regardless of the phase of the employment plan. However, the closed date must be between the start of the phase that the employment plan is currently in and today's date.
