The Health and safety workflow

The health and safety workflow involves three key Recordbase users/owners and the various statuses that an incident can be at. The owners and statuses are listed below:

Originator

This is the person who initially records the incident; this can be any Recordbase user with the appropriate permissions. The originator should list a detailed account of events and any details of other parties involved, prior to submitting the incident to the investigator. The list of investigators, whom incidents can be submitted, is determined by security.

Investigator

The investigator firstly determines whether to accept or reject, or re-assign the incident to another investigator. If accepted, the investigator can edit the incident and then submit it to a reporter. The investigator can add additional notes and attachments if required, as well as edit any details the Originator may have entered or omitted. These changes are tracked.

Reporter

The reporter is the last user to review and complete the incident. The Reporter can add additional notes and attachments if required, as well as edit any details the Originator or Investigator may have entered or omitted. These changes are tracked.
Reporters can inform other stakeholders, e.g. ACC, and record this in the incident. Once all investigation has been carried out, the reporter then marks the incident as completed.
