How to Create a New Activity Breakdown Type in Recordbase

Follow these steps to add a new activity breakdown type, ensuring your Recordbase system accurately categorises activities for reporting and tracking purposes.

Prerequisites

Before creating a new activity breakdown type, ensure you have the following permission:

  • Team Configurations (Team Management) permission is enabled on your Recordbase user role:

Note: If you don’t have the necessary permissions, please contact your Recordbase administrator for assistance.

Steps to Create a New Activity Breakdown Type

Step 1: Access Settings

  1. Click on Settings in the main menu.

Step 2: Open Activity Breakdown Types

  1. Under the Master Data section, select Activity Breakdown Types.

Step 3: Create a New Activity Breakdown Type and Assign to Teams

  1. Click on the New button.
  2. A new screen will appear where you can select the parent breakdown (the breakdown under which the new breakdown will be placed), code, and name.
  3. Select the Teams that will use this activity breakdown type.


Important: If these teams use activity templates, you will need to update the templates to include the new activity breakdown type. For activities using the general template, the new type will automatically be available for selection
