How to Hide a Person from an Individual User in Recordbase

In certain situations where there are confidentiality concerns, you may need to hide a person's file from specific staff members. Recordbase offers the ability to restrict access on a per-user basis using the Blacklist function.

Follow these steps to hide a person from an individual user in Recordbase

Step 1: Access the Users and Roles Menu

  1. In the left sidebar, navigate to Administration.
  2. Click Users & Roles.
  3. Click Users.

Step 2: Find the User

  1. Search for the user's name in the list and click on their name.

Step 3: Access the Blacklist function

  1. Click Blacklist from the menu
  2. Click Add 

Step 4: Add the person to the Blacklist

  1. Enter the person's name in the Person field
  2. Enter the Start Date
    • End Date is not required at this stage and is used when you need to end the Blacklist
  3. Requested By: Enter the details of the user who has requested the Blacklisting 
  4. Enter the Reason for the Blacklisting
  5. Click Save

The person is now hiden from the individual user in Recordbase.
