How to Hide a Person from an Individual User in Recordbase
In certain situations where there are confidentiality concerns, you may need to hide a person's file from specific staff members. Recordbase offers the ability to restrict access on a per-user basis using the Blacklist function.
Follow these steps to hide a person from an individual user in Recordbase
Step 1: Access the Users and Roles Menu
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Administration.
- Click Users & Roles.
- Click Users.
Step 2: Find the User
- Search for the user's name in the list and click on their name.
Step 3: Access the Blacklist function
- Click Blacklist from the menu
- Click Add
Step 4: Add the person to the Blacklist
- Enter the person's name in the Person field
- Enter the Start Date
- End Date is not required at this stage and is used when you need to end the Blacklist
- Requested By: Enter the details of the user who has requested the Blacklisting
- Enter the Reason for the Blacklisting
- Click Save
The person is now hiden from the individual user in Recordbase.
