Access Denied Error in Recordbase (How to Fix)
If you’re seeing an “Access Denied” error when signing into Recordbase, it’s usually due to a temporary login or redirect issue.
What’s causing the issue?
When you sign in to Recordbase, you’re briefly sent to a login (authentication) system to confirm who you are. Once signed in, it sends you back to your organisation’s Recordbase site.
An error can occur when that redirect doesn’t land in the right place.
How to fix it
1. Start a fresh session
-
Close the browser tab showing the error
-
Open a new tab and navigate back to Recordbase
Result: You may be signed in automatically. This means your login worked, but the redirect failed the first time.
2. Clear cache and cookies
-
Restart your browser
-
Try signing in again
Why this helps: It removes any stored redirect or session data that may be incorrect.
3. Use the correct URL
-
Avoid old bookmarks or saved links
-
Access Recordbase from your organisation’s official link
4. Try a private window or different browser
-
Open Recordbase in an incognito/private window
-
Or try a different browser
Result: If this works, the issue is related to cached browser data.
